Step back in time and discover the rich history of Black Rock, one of Connecticut’s most distinctive waterfront communities. This guided walking tour explores the neighborhood’s evolution from a colonial settlement and bustling maritime village to the vibrant community it is today. Along the way, participants will visit historic homes, churches, landmarks, and waterfront sites while learning about the sailors, merchants, shipbuilders, privateers, and everyday residents who shaped Black Rock’s story.
From its role in the Revolutionary War to its growth as a center of commerce and recreation, this tour brings to life the places and events that have made Black Rock a unique and enduring part of American history.
